- Meredith seems to have had a problem with getting older. When we first meet him on the 1830 census, he is listed as either 20-30 (1800-1810) or 40-50 (1780-1790) but I believe the younger would have been John McGhee or a brother. On the 1840 census, he is still 40-50 (1790-1800). Finally, in 1850, he is 57 (1793). I've chosen a midway point for him in 1786.
The Margaret Parrish on the 1850 census is Hartsman, Meredith married her in 1846. I'm not absolutely certain this is the same Meredith.
