• Notes

My research on this family left a lot of questions, especially what happened to Anna's children? Why are so many people buried at Commercial Point without markers? There are two men named Nelson McGhee, born and died about the same time. It won't be easy separating the two. Pickaway death record says Nelson McGhee of Scioto Township died 24 Nov 1873 of throat disease at age 58, 8, 17. He was born in Virginia. (Calculated birth 7 Mar 1815) Headstone at Presbyterian Cemetery says he died 24 Sep 1873, age 58, 8, 13. (Cal birth 11 Jan 1873) Nelson McGee, age 33, is on the 1850 in Scioto with Mary L, age 64, Mary Miller, age 32, Richard N Miller, age 7, Charles McGee, age 30, William McGee, age 31?, Albert, age 28, James M, age 26, and Perilla A Mullins, age 16. Mary L was born Mullins. This age makes Nelson born 1827 - much later than 1815. Their neighbor is Joseph McGee, age 40, with his family.
