  Text	Description: Please add that my Grandfather, William Lemuel Harrison was a child to Williams S Harrison and Sarah C E Paul. He was born in Wells, TX, Cherokee County. William and Sarah were married in Nacogdoches TX in July of 1865. William was an Alabama Confederate Soldier that was held in Missouri Prison as a POW that was captured in 1862. I found evidence that he was released at the end of the war which means he refused the Oath. Let me know if you have any questions. I do not know what happened to William and Sarah. There are no records of them in East Texas after the 1870 Census that showed they lived in Wells/Rusk Cherokee County, TX with several children and a "Grandmother" with a last name Vardeman? No Death record or anything that I have located. It is like they disappeared. But, I know my Grandfather William Lemuel survived and had a family of his own in the same location.
