Charles Glenn Glass, 54, of China Spring, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 ? 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, at the funeral home.
Charles was born September 5, 1965, in Waco, Texas, to Charles and Mary Glass. He loved to watch sports on TV, especially golf and football. He also enjoyed fishing.
Charles was preceded in death by his father; step-father, James Miller; and sister, Lisa Glass.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Miller; niece, Virgie Danielle Glass, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charles Clayton Glass, 68, died Wednesday at a local nursing center. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brookview Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brookview Funeral Home.
Mr. Glass was born July 3,1932, in Rockdale,Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Henry Glass and Naomi Senn Glass.Charles served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Ann Glass; son, Charles Glenn Glass a granddaughter, Virgie Danielle Glass; and many friends and family.

Notes:

Naomi beat the odds and lived to be "80 some" years old. The youngest baby's ashes were placed in Naomi's coffin at her funeral. I remember her as a lot of fun. She was extremely nice and spent a lot of time with my brothers and I when she visited.

"One of our neighbors was sick and Mama made a chicken pie for 'em. We walked to the neighbor's house. I don't know how far it was, 'cause I was just a little fella. It seemed like miles. When we were on our way home a big storm blowed up. Mama kept lookin' over her shoulder sayin', 'Walk faster, Wiley.' I was walkin' as fast as I could.
Mama was a strappin' big woman and that's the only time I ever seen her scared. The rain started pourin' down, the wind blew me down. I hollered and Mama turned around. Her hair pins had come undone and her hair was blowin' all over the place. Her eyes was big as plums. She looked WILD. She reached down with one hand and yanked me up into her arms then RAN all the way home and straight to the storm cellar."
