Notes

I found a Calvin T Pierce in Chickasaw and Clay counties, Mississippi, in 1870 and 1880 but the father is not there. There are four children with the mother named Martha. I'm fairly certain that Joseph Whitman Pierce of Estelline is Calvin's brother, C T signed Joseph's death certificate. Joseph's certificate gives his father's name as Brit??? Pierce, born NC. I cannot read the mothers name - Sev or Sen something. Calvin in Mississippi has a newphew named Virgil Britton Pierce.
