• Notes

  Mary does not appear on the 1860 census with James and Nancy. She is on the 1870 at 17 years of age [1853]. On the 1880, she is married and has twin 2 year olds at the age of 26 [1854]. In 1900, she and her mother are with her son [1878] and Tennie's daughter, Mary is now born in Sep 1864, making her 35 years of age. Mary's death certificate lists her age as 70 and her birth date as 29 Sep 1848. The only two records that are similar are the 1870 and 1880, putting her born in 1853 or 1854, so I chose 1853.
