Milton is no longer in existance, Alpharetta is now in Fulton County. Milton was created in 1857 and was merged with Fulton County in 1932 (Campbell County was also merged with Fulton). A few months later, Roswell (in Cobb County) was also ceded to Fulton County. Post offices in Milton included Alpharetta, Arnold, Coker, Dinsmore, Field's Cross Roads, Freemansville, McClure, Mazeppa, Ocee, Skelton, Stono, and Warsaw.
