    Obituary:

    Funeral services were held today for Marshall B Denton, who passed away at the home of his daughter on Dec. 14. Burial was in Six Mile Cemetery. Mr. Denton, a retired farmer, was born in Union Parish, LA and had lived in Snap since 1901. He married Margaret Drucilla Webb on Mar 6, 1898. He was the youngest of 11 children and the last surviving member of his family. He had been a deacon of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church since 1913.
    Survivors include his wife; 3 sons: Webster of Carthage, Warner of Ft Worth, Douglas of Port Arthur; 4 daughters: Mary Sanders of Carthage, Bertie Shannon of Beaumont, Gladys Goss of Tawnbrah, LA, Gertie Goss of West Memphis, Ark. 20 Grandchildren and 33 Great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons: Thomas and Jasper Sanders, Charlie Hodges, Edward Shivers, Jack Barnes, Alvin Denton.
